Listen to three takeaways from the five rounds of discussions!
I want to create meaning and value using technology, information and data, I want to be able to influence business decision making by providing the business with insights otherwise hidden behind unstructured, unclean and unnecessary complicated data. The data and the systems is the foundation but without the business context and visualized in a way that the business can consume it, it will never support strategies or provide the value it can. It will just be unrealized opportunity and value. Working together with the business is key to really leverage the hidden gems that sits within most companies system as to data and information.
I started working with IT-systems early in my carrier and worked within the IT area for 6 years after graduation from college. When I got an opportunity to work with IT within the HR area I found my first “sweet spot” and realised how much I enjoyed the border between business and IT. A few years later HR KPIs and analytics where introduced in my role and I found my second “sweet spot” in analytics where I could really benefit from my personal traits and thus really enjoyed working with numbers AND people. In my next role I had the opportunity to combine those two in a global setting and was also given the opportunity to take a larger responsibility for the technology and its value adding to the local HR community. And now I've taken another step towards the strategic agenda, building my storytelling capabilities and working closely not only with the senior HR stakeholders but also the major business decision makers, influencing how decisions is made by advocating for evidence and facts to take a large part of the decision process. I have empathy as a leading star for the work that I do.
